A coalition of more than 40 healthcare organizations has just released a framework aimed at developing a national strategy around patient identification that protects individual safety and security.
The lack of a consistent and accurate system regarding patient identification in the US creates safety and security risks and financial burdens. Many other countries face similar critical issues and, like the US, are trying to resolve them.
